Jefferson L. Stacer
Family Law Mediator & Former Judge
Over 45 Years of Family Law Experience | 4,000+ Mediations Completed | 15 Years as a Temporary Judge
When you're facing divorce or family conflict, you need someone who doesn’t just understand the law—you need someone who understands people.
I’m Jeff Stacer. I’ve dedicated my legal career to helping families find respectful, cost-effective resolutions to some of life’s hardest transitions. After more than four decades practicing family law, I’ve seen the inside of the courtroom far more than most attorneys—because I spent 15 years wearing the black robe myself, serving as a temporary judge in San Diego County.
I’ve handled over 4,000 mediations and been appointed by the court to serve as attorney for children in custody cases. I’ve also litigated hundreds of divorces, which gives me a unique edge as a mediator: I know exactly what happens when cases don’t settle, and I can help you avoid that path.
But what I offer goes beyond legal knowledge. I believe in privacy. In dignity. In resolution over battle. In helping you move forward quickly, affordably, and with as little stress as possible.
Most importantly, I believe mediation—when guided by an experienced hand—is the smarter, more humane way to divorce.
Whether your case is simple or complex, high-conflict or amicable, I’m here to help you reach common ground—with clarity, fairness, and confidence.
Let’s resolve this—together.
